From March 2 to March 6, 2026, the XTRITON team visited Hotai Motor / Nandu Motor North Tainan Service Center to carry out the installation of the Intelligent Bionic Spray Robot. By introducing intelligent spray equipment on site, the project brought a more stable, precise, and standardized automated solution to traditional collision repair and refinish operations.
Nandu Motor North Tainan Service Center is an important 4S dealership service center in the Tainan region, providing long-term vehicle maintenance, repair, body repair, and automotive refinishing services for customers. Previously, the facility mainly relied on a 5×7 ft paint booth and manual paint application by refinish technicians. Color difference judgment, spray angle control, and paint finish quality were largely dependent on technician experience. As repair efficiency, quality consistency, and delivery-ready standards become increasingly important, adopting intelligent equipment has become a key direction for automotive service centers seeking to strengthen their competitiveness.
This installation was not limited to equipment setup. It also included on-site operation training, basic workflow demonstrations, color matching function testing, and actual paint application performance verification. Based on the existing site conditions at Nandu Motor North Tainan Service Center, the XTRITON team carried out equipment positioning and workflow integration, allowing the Intelligent Bionic Spray Robot to be incorporated into the existing paint booth environment. This helped technicians better understand the equipment’s operating logic and reduced the unfamiliarity often associated with the initial stage of automation adoption.

During the testing process, Nandu Motor North Tainan Service Center focused on two key applications: pearl color matching and complete vehicle refinish.

According to feedback from the on-site team at Nandu Motor North Tainan Service Center, the most impressive aspect was the stability of the equipment’s color matching performance.
Traditionally, color matching has required years of accumulated experience from senior refinish technicians. However, the test results showed that the PG-90E Intelligent Bionic Spray Robot has demonstrated near technician-level performance in both color judgment and paint application. This provides significant practical value for reducing workflow inconsistencies and improving overall refinish quality consistency in future operations.
In addition to color matching performance, complete vehicle refinish was another important focus during this installation.
Compared with localized repair work, complete vehicle refinish places greater demands on equipment stability, coating uniformity, and rhythm control during large-area continuous paint application. By precisely controlling the spray path and spray angle, the robotic arm helps repair facilities establish a higher level of consistency in standardized refinish workflows. It also reduces quality variations caused by operator fatigue, angle differences, or gaps in individual technician experience.
