EXPO 2026 Visits XTRITON PG-90E in Taiwan
Not a Demonstration, but Real-World Validation
On January 10, 2026, the organizers of the 23rd International Automotive Aftermarket EXPO 2026 visited Taiwan to observe the XTRITON PG-90E Smart Bionic Painting Robot, which has been officially deployed in Taiwan, and evaluate its real-world painting performance and benefits on-site.
This visit was not a simple technical demonstration, but focused on “real-world application,” observing the XTRITON PG-90E Smart Bionic Painting Robot’s actual performance under high-workload and high-quality-demand conditions.
Body and Paint Technology and Quality Standard
Unlike laboratory or exhibition demonstrations, the PG-90E’s applications in Taiwan face daily real-world painting operations with actual incoming and outgoing vehicles. The EXPO organizers paid particular attention to the equipment’s stability during long operating hours and whether paint quality could be consistently maintained across different technicians and vehicle models.
On-site testing showed that the PG-90E can precisely control spray gun distance, movement speed, and overlap, resulting in highly stable paint thickness and uniformity, effectively reducing the impact of human error on quality.
During discussions, the EXPO organizers also gained in-depth insight into the PG-90E’s implementation process in the Taiwanese market. From early evaluations and trial use to gradual integration into existing workflows, XTRITON did not position the robot as a “replacement for humans.” Instead, the Smart Bionic Painting Robot takes on high-repetition, high-energy painting tasks, allowing technicians to focus on pre-treatment, color assessment, and final quality control. This human-machine collaboration model is currently the most widely accepted and practically valuable transformation path for many body and paint shops.
The EXPO organizers noted that the Taiwanese market is highly representative in terms of body and paint technology maturity and quality standards. The XTRITON PG-90E’s stable operation in this environment itself holds international benchmark significance. This on-site visit to Taiwan not only provided a clearer understanding of the actual development stage of smart painting equipment but also offered highly valuable practical examples for EXPO 2026 in promoting “smart painting” and automation applications.
